![]() I was able to start my 7609 save games by using the 8403 EXE and then after using that for a while to play and continuing to create more save games I then was able to load those same save games with the 8548 build exe from the update. I did not do a fresh install because I was worried about losing my save game, I simply used the SCI (single click installer) for build 8548 and extracted that into my game directory for 7609 thus overwriting the files. EXE for build 8403 (which for that version included the fix for the LBE bug that I was experiencing) and dropped that into my updated game directory for build 8548. Effectively I started a playthrough on build 7609 and then tried to directly update to the most recent build 8548 but I could not get my save game to load. Initially I had a playthrough from version 7609 and ran into bugs that made the game unplayable so I updated to newer builds and was able to continue my save game to my surprise. Running the game in compatibility mode for XP service pack 3 made a huge difference for me also but that may not be the case for everyone. I spent way too much time trying to locate wined3d.dll, ddraw.dll and libwine.dll from an outside source just to realize they were already in the game directory from the v1.13 patch. Run game via INI Editor.exe located in the game directory. Set ja2.exe to compatibility mode for "WINDOWS XP (Service Pack 3)"ĥ. Copy ddraw.dll, libwine.dll, wined3d.dll from that "GameDir" folder directly to your Jagged Alliance 2 game directory folder.Ĥ. Extracted files will be in a folder called "Windows 8 Fix" and inside will be a folder called "GameDir". Locate "Windows Compatibility Fixes" folder in your game directory C:/Jagged Alliance 2/Docs/Windows Compatibility Fixes/Windows 8 Fix.zipģ.Extract "Windows 8 Fix.zip" from that "Windows Compatibility Fixes" folder and locate the extracted files. Delete Intro.slf file located in your Jagged Alliance 2 directoryĢ. To make this game and 1.13 mod run with windows 10 you must do 4 things after you have installed the game from steam and copied the game files from your steamapps folder to a new directory folder and installed the 1.13 patch and update.įor help with installing the 1.13 mod if you have Jagged Alliance 2 from steam please refer to-ġ. I recently installed this game and the 1.13 Mod on a laptop with windows 10 and ran into the performance issues.
